Small Business Spotlight: Tiffany Burgdorf

Meet Tiffany Burgdorf — lash and brow artist, wife, mom, and the heart behind a cozy beauty studio where clients come for more than just great lashes. Tiffany has turned her passion for helping others feel their best into a business that radiates care, comfort, and connection.

Where Confidence Meets Comfort

For Tiffany, her lash and brow studio is more than a workplace — it’s a sanctuary. “As a working mom and wife, I know how busy life can get,” she says. “Being able to offer a bit of relaxation — even just a midday nap — and make someone’s day a little better is what keeps me going.”

Her clients often leave with more than just lifted lashes or laminated brows; they leave feeling heard, cared for, and lighter. “My studio is a safe space,” Tiffany shares. “Some come in to relax, others come to vent or tell me their wildest stories. Either way, I’m here for them.”

Her favorite part? Watching her clients become friends. “I’m so lucky to make a living doing what I love.”

A Day in the Life

Tiffany’s days are a beautiful blend of business and motherhood. Mornings begin early — getting her kids up and ready for school, followed by a workout or heading straight into client appointments starting at 8:45 a.m. After work, she hits the coffee shop and school pickup line before switching into full mom mode: cooking dinner and shuttling the kids to karate class four nights a week.

And even then, her workday isn’t done. “I’m constantly on my phone or computer managing the business,” she says. “Owning a small business gives me flexibility, but I definitely work more now than I did at my old 9-to-5!”

The Hidden Side of Business Ownership

One of the biggest surprises of entrepreneurship? “It’s hard to balance everything,” Tiffany admits. “The flexibility is amazing, but the responsibilities never stop — scheduling clients, tracking inventory, managing content, and still being present for my family.”

But she’s found her rhythm, and her clients reap the benefits of that dedication.

Creating a Cozy, Memorable Experience

In an industry full of talented artists, Tiffany sets herself apart by going above and beyond with the client experience. Her studio is warm and inviting, offering soft lighting, cozy pillows and blankets, and all the essentials for a rejuvenating lash nap.

After their service, clients are treated to water, snacks, complimentary aftercare kits, and even a loyalty card to reward repeat visits. “It’s the little things — plus great customer service and connection — that keep people coming back,” she says.

Resilience Born from Challenge

Tiffany’s journey hasn’t been without its obstacles. She started beauty school in January 2020, just before COVID-19 brought the world to a standstill. Finishing her education during a global pandemic was anything but easy, but she kept moving forward.

“I didn’t know what to do, but I trusted my gut and started working again when it was safe,” she says. “It was a slow start, but I thought — if I can stay afloat during a pandemic, I can survive anything.”

Now, five years later, she’s planning an anniversary party for her thriving business — a milestone earned through grit and grace.

Her Motivation? Family, Legacy, and Proving the Doubters Wrong

What keeps Tiffany going on the hard days? “My support system,” she says without hesitation. “My husband is my biggest cheerleader, and everything I do is to give our kids the life I didn’t have growing up. I also keep pushing to prove the doubters wrong.”

Why Supporting Small Businesses Matters

For Tiffany, supporting small businesses is deeply personal. “It’s how we put food on the table and clothes on our backs,” she says. “Most small businesses are run by solo owners or tiny teams. When you support us, you’re helping someone’s dream come true.”

If Her Business Had a Theme Song…

It would be “Count on Me” by Bruno Mars — a song her son recently performed with his school choir and one that perfectly reflects the spirit of her business: dependable, heartfelt, and always there when you need a little lift.
