The CosmoGlo Original has a slim 23 by 10 inch base that is less than 1 inch tall, allowing it to slide underneath most treatment beds and chairs instead of taking up valuable working space.

The CosmoGlo XL has a slightly larger 23.5 by 12.5 inch base and offers additional height for taller beds, chairs and standing services.

For both models, the light extends approximately 32 inches from the pole to the outer edge of the halo, so you will want to account for that reach when deciding where to position your light.

The CosmoGlo Wall Light gives you professional treatment lighting with zero floor footprint.

Its mounting plate measures just 19 by 4.75 inches, and the light extends up to 37 inches from the wall with up to 17 inches of vertical adjustment.

For the best setup, mount the Wall Light beside your treatment bed, chair or workstation, rather than directly behind it. The arm extends horizontally from the wall and does not angle downward over the client.

Yes, but which model depends on your furniture.

• Flat massage and esthetic beds: choose the Original. Its base slides underneath, and 58 inches of height clears a standard table comfortably.
• Recliners, tattoo chairs and adjustable beds: choose the XL. Those sit higher and change position during a service, and the XL reaches 70 inches to follow.
• Furniture with a solid enclosed base or a very wide footprint: the CosmoGlo base needs to tuck under something to save you floor space. Otherwise it will have to sit alongside your treatment table.
• No wall-free floor space: the Wall Light mounts to the wall beside your treatment bed, putting light over the treatment area without using any floor space at all.

We offer the CosmoGlo Wall Light, which is an entirely new product in the CosmoGlo lineup. We are continually developing new products and refining current designs.

For the CosmoGlo floor lamp bases, we offer a wheel kit that can be added to increase height, enhance stability and improve ease of movement.

Spread across a five-year working life, the XL comes to about $100 a year, or roughly $8.33 a month. The Original works out to about $90 a year, or $7.50 a month.

No, and that is on purpose. We gave up portability to get a light that stays exactly where you put it and a base that disappears under your table. If you have ever knocked a lamp with your elbow at the wrong moment, you already know why we made that call.

The CosmoGlo is salon furniture, not a travel light. The Original weighs 25 pounds and the XL weighs 28 pounds, and most of that sits in the base. That weight is the reason the halo stays exactly where you put it when you rotate it over a client mid-service. A light that is easy to carry is a light that drifts. That is the trade-off, and we chose the side that keeps your hands free.

Assemble it once and leave it in your studio. If you move rooms, you can disassemble and reassemble it, and the assembly guide is on our Assembly page. If what you need is a light for mobile work, buy a portable one. This is not that, and we would rather tell you now.

The LEDs used in all CosmoGlo Lights do not emit heat, even at the brightest settings. CosmoGlo LEDs provide fully adjustable, dimmable lighting, allowing you to choose settings from very dim to very bright, suitable for a range of services.

No. There is no magnifying lens on any CosmoGlo model.

What it gives you is even, shadow-free light between 4,000 and 10,000 lumens with a CRI of 95+, which is what you need to read true skin tone and see texture, pores and fine hairs. Many artists report that they no longer need magnification because the light is so bright on its own.

Estheticians who need magnification for extractions generally pair the CosmoGlo with a separate magnifying lamp or wear loupes. If magnification is your first requirement, a mag lamp is the tool for that. If accurate color and working without shadows is, this is.

LEDs last a long time, but how long depends on how many hours a day you run them, at what brightness and in what conditions. Many of our original lights have been shining brightly since 2020, but that will not apply to everyone. It depends on how you use your light, the environment it is kept in and how long it runs each day.

One tip we give out to help your light last: rotate the halo back and forth rather than turning it over and over in the same direction. Turning one way repeatedly adds pressure to the cord, while alternating relieves it and keeps your light in peak condition for years.

Here is what we will commit to. Every CosmoGlo comes with a 1 Year Limited Warranty. After that expires, our support team stays available for the life of the light, and we sell discounted replacement parts for out-of-warranty lights, so one failed component does not mean buying a new light. That consistency is what makes a before-and-after actually readable. Same position, same brightness, same tone, so what changed in the photo is the work and not the lighting. If you are building a portfolio or submitting to a publication, shoot every set at the same brightness and tone setting and your grid will look like it belongs to one artist.

We recommend using lukewarm water with a drop of Dawn dish soap to clean your CosmoGlo. Make sure to dry the cleaned area completely. Another great solution is to cover your halo with a CosmoGlo Vinyl Accent, or to protect the parts of the light that are touched daily with a disposable barrier film. You can wipe your light down with a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints or smudges.

We do not recommend cleaning your CosmoGlo with harsh chemicals. Our lights are made of steel, and certain cleaning chemicals can damage metal.
