CosmoGlo Light 1-Year Limited Warranty Policy

Welcome to the CosmoGlo Family!

Congratulations on your new CosmoGlo light purchase. We're dedicated to providing you with quality products and services. Below are the details of the 1-year limited warranty and support options available.

For additional coverage, we offer CosmoGlo Protection with a monthly subscription or yearly one time purchase option.

If you are a member of CosmoGlo Protection, please submit a CosmoGlo Protection Claim and our staff will assist you. 

 

General Guidelines

  • Warranty RegistrationRegister your Warranty within 90 days of purchase. It is non-transferable and should be registered under the final owner's name if different from the original purchaser.

  • Immediate Inspection: Please inspect your product upon arrival and contact us immediately if you have any concerns.

  • Do Not Discard Packaging: Retain the original packaging for potential returns or shipping.

  • Return Window: You have 30 days to request a return and 14 days to report missing parts.

  • Troubleshooting: Most issues can be resolved through troubleshooting advice provided by our support team or through our Help Center articles.

 

1-Year Manufacturer's Limited Warranty

  • Duration:

    • This warranty lasts for one year from the date of delivery, unless an extended warranty or CosmoGlo protection is purchased.

    • Replacements do not restart the warranty period; they remain under the original one-year coverage.

  • What’s Covered:

    • Manufacturing defects that cause the product to act differently than its intended use.

  • What’s Not Covered:

    • Cosmetic scratches and/or dents, damages caused by customer misuse, abuse, or incorrect assembly or setup.

    • Organic variations between lights, including differences in paint color, shape, weld finish, and size.

    • Loss, theft, shipping damages, or damages from using third-party components or services.

    • Issues caused by external forces like floods, fires, acts of God, natural causes, or any damages not related to manufacturing. Contact your insurance provider for such claims.

    • Items used or relocated outside approved shipping locations, these actions void the warranty. Refer to the Shipping Policy in the Links section of the warranty for a list of approved locations.

    • Please see the Eligibility and Exclusions sections of this warranty for additional details.
    • Customer/Staff Cooperation:

      • Cooperation is crucial for successfully resolving any issue you may encounter with your products.  Please provide the requested documentation or video footage for troubleshooting, diagnosis, and fast claims processing. Aggressive behavior or threatening language may result in your claim being denied.

       

      Eligibility

      • Approved Purchase: Must be purchased directly from CosmoGlo or an approved reseller.

      • Assembled Correctly: Must be assembled per the official Assembly Instructions.

      • Proper Use: Must be properly used and maintained according to our care guidelines.

       

      Guidelines for Proper Use

      Please read over our Care and Proper Use Guidelines article for a complete overview.

      • Halo Rotation: Ensure you are using the halo correctly with alternating rotation to avoid wire damage.

      • Stability: Use the product on a level surface with all rubber feet supporting the light evenly. It's best suited for flat, hard-surfaced floors, and is not recommended for use on carpet or uneven flooring. Damage resulting from carpet use isn't covered under warranty.

        • If used on carpet, consider placing a piece of cut plywood matching the base plate dimensions underneath for added stability and proper cord functionality. See our FAQ page for the proper dimensions, or measure your base by hand.
        • Cleaning: Ensure the product is not misused/abused, and that you adhere to cleaning and maintenance guidelines provided in our guidelines.

          • Avoid using unapproved chemicals, sanitizers, or cleaners as they may cause cosmetic damage or compromise product integrity, potentially voiding warranty coverage.
          • Phone Clip: The rubber bands on the phone clip should be periodically replaced if worn out to maintain functionality.

            • If elasticity is compromised, refrain from using the clip until replacement bands are installed.
            • Squeaks/Noise: Unwanted sound from metal parts moving may happen over time, but they aren't considered defects and are not covered by the warranty.

              • Using silicone lubricant can help maintain smooth movement. We offer a maintenance Refresh Kit that will keep your light at its best over time.

               

              Supporting Products

              We offer several replacement kits and products for your convenience.

              • Refresh Kit: includes an approved lubricant, cleaning cloth, and replacement logos, feet, and bands.
              • Support Kit: Includes replacement feet, rubber bands, logos, toolkit, and clamp.
              • Touch Up Paint: CosmoGlo Touch-up Paint is intended to cover minor cosmetic damages and marks in its original color. We recommend watching the CosmoGlo painting tutorial included with the purchase of touch-up paint. (Only available in the Continental USA due to paint/hazardous materials regulations.)

                 

                Exclusions

                CosmoGlo reserves the right to deny any replacements, refunds, or warranty claims. Actions that void your warranty include but aren't limited to:

                • Product Transfer outside of Approved Zones:

                    • Transferring products and orders outside of our offered and approved shipping zones voids all warranties, policies, guarantees, and promises and violate our Terms of Service as agreed upon during checkout. These terms apply at all times.

                    • See our International page for an up to date list of approved regions.

                • Alterations or Modifications to the Product:

                    • Removing the LED shield or tampering with electrical components.

                    • Damages caused by using non-CosmoGlo or third-party parts, accessories, power boxes, cords, or cosmetic enhancements.

                    • Restriction of cord movement such as by taping down cords.

                    • Unauthorized repairs and/or unauthorized repair attempts.

                    • Use of Touch-Up Paint in a different color or over-application resulting in assembly/functionality issues.

                • Misuse and Improper Setup

                  • Read our Guidelines for Care and Maintenance to avoid improper setup or misuse. Misuse includes:

                    • Not following assembly instructions or misusing the product.

                    • Continuous rotation of the halo, leading to electrical malfunctions.

                    • Cosmetic damages from improper assembly or power tool usage; we strongly advise against the use of power tools during assembly.

                    • Functionality issues from improper cord use and placement.

                    • Cosmetic damages from lights falling over due to improper setup.

                    • Damages caused by floods, fires, acts of God, natural causes, or any damages not related to manufacturing. Contact your insurance provider for such claims.

                    • Transit or delivery-related damages. Claims of this nature are handled by Route Shipping Insurance if purchased during checkout.

                • CosmoGlo Protection: If you are a member, please submit a CosmoGlo Protection Claim.

                • Submit a Warranty Request: There's 3 ways to contact us.

                • Provide Documentation: Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and relevant images or videos when submitting your help center claim, email request, or sending Direct Message on Instagram. 


                Things to Know

                • Shipping Costs: Customers may be required to pay for shipping of replacement parts. For replacements outside the USA, the consumer will most likely be responsible for all shipping costs, including but not limited to postage, duties, taxes, and any carrier fees. Feel free to inquire about shipping costs with our representative during the claim process.
                • Exchanges: Refundable deposits may apply for exchanges; details are provided by our customer service team. Your warranty may be voided and deposit not returned if cooperation in returning units or parts is not followed.
                • Returns/Refunds: For convenience, we provide a prepaid label, but shipping charges may be deducted from refunds. Please review the video below to ensure careful packaging, prevent damages during transit, and receive a maximum refund.
                • Replacement Parts: If replacement parts are necessary, only faulty components are typically replaced. We may require defective parts to be returned for examination.
                  • CosmoGlo will replace parts at its discretion and reserves the right to substitute comparable materials or models, new or refurbished products, and we do not guarantee that the replacement part will match the existing pieces or products.
                  • If a replacement halo is ordered during a warranty claim and there is an accent, wrap, or colored logo set attached to the original halo, a replacement accent, wrap, or colored logo will not be issued.

                   

                  Limitations of Liability

                  CosmoGlo's liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund options for covered, eligible product claims; claims are approved or denied at our sole discretion.


                  • Shipping, Fees, and Deductibles: Customers may be required to pay shipping for replacement or repair including postage, duties, taxes, carrier fees, deductibles, and handling charges. See our Shipping Policy and International pages for full details.

                  • Third-Party Purchases: We are not liable for indirect losses or damages arising from the use of the product.


                  • Out of Warranty: For issues outside the warranty period, we offer assistance and parts for purchase. Please submit a support request to our staff in our Help Center for assistance with ordering. 

                  • CosmoGlo Protection: If you are a member, please submit a CosmoGlo Protection Claim

                  • Replacement Parts: Parts purchased separately outside of warranty are not eligible for return or refund, but will include a limited warranty: 1-year coverage for electrical components and mechanical defects; does not cover cosmetic issues or variations in finish or paint. 

                   

                  CosmoGlo Accessories Warranty

                  • Limited 30 Day Warranty: All accessories purchased include a limited 30-day warranty.  Claims are handled on a case-by-case basis and approved or denied at our discretion.

We do not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable. Moreover, you agree that from time to time we may remove the service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the service at any time, without notice to you. You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk.

                  • Implied Rights: The service and all products and services delivered to you through the service are (except as expressly stated by us) provided 'as is' and 'as available' for your use, without any representation, warranties, or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including all implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement. 

                  • Liability: In no case shall CosmoGlo, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers, or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility.

                  • Dispute Resolution: Some countries, states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
